Back in 2002 I embarked upon a coaching career because I had experienced it in the workplace and it made a huge difference to my life.  So much so that I decided to leave my well paid job in account management for a large US corporation.  I started my coaching training in 2002 and went on to train with the Achievement Specialists to obtain a diploma in Life Coaching.  I did rigorous research before signing up with Curly Martin and the Achievement Specialists.  I picked up a copy of the Life Coaching Handbook and decided that it was the most sensible thing I read in my learning and development stage.

Coaching skills are invaluable in nearly every walk of life.  They are particularly valuable if you manage people or if you are considering a career in consulting or just wanting to become a coach yourself.  The prophets of doom are busy driving the 'credit crunch' fear into everybody, so you might like to keep a few steps ahead of the game and augment your current skills set with a coaching qualification.  Corporate life is uncertain at the best of times and if your company is about to down-size, coaching provides a great foundation for your own development as well as providing you with a brand new revenue stream.
